What's Happening

2018

2018 , for us, is a new beginning for some aspects and a continuation for others.

Susie will be retiring after 45 years in business. She hopes to spend time admiring the accomplishments that Jessica Cavanaugh is achieving with Cosmos Double Oh Seven in the Morgan Park division. Also, following a life-long dream with her reining prospect, Cosmos Technicolor. She always wanted to play with a reining/working horse and she will now have time to enjoy this young palomino.

2017 SHOW SEASON

The girls showed in their last show at the Jericho Morab Show in Elkhorn, WI

We were less than a mile from our exit to go to the show grounds, when we had a blowout on our trailer. Luckily we were able to limp to the showgrounds and get our tire replaced.  In a way, it was a fortunate-misfortune, as in two weeks Susie would be traveling to the Morgan Nationals in Oklahoma City. We would rather have a flat tire close to home than in the middle of nowhere and unfamiliar surroundings. The following Monday after the show, we had 4 new tires put on the trailer.

The flat tire did not deter the success and fun of the girls. Abigail Hinze ended up with Reserve High Point Youth, Reserve High Point Morgan, and Overall Reserve High Point on Saturday. Super job for her first year in the pleasure classes from moving up last year in the walk trot classes!

Leslie Allport who was showing Cosmos Thunder Gone Wild ended up with Reserve Champion Morgan on Sunday! This was Leslieís first show with Cosmos Thunder Gone Wild and also the first show for the mare. Great Job Leslie!

The rest of our show team was our young man, Cayden Hinze, showing in lead line for the first time on Cosmos Vigilante, Airi Rich with Cosmos Arbor Mist and Mikayla Bennett with Cosmos Montana.

After we got home and settled down from that show, Susie prepared for the Morgan Nationals.

Cosmos Double Oh Seven was shown in the Park Division. He ended up Grand National Reserve Champion in Park Harness and also Grand National Reserve Champion in Park Saddle. In the World Champion Ladies Park Saddle Class, Double Oh Seven was 4th.  He was being shown by Jessica Cavanaugh of Silver Pine Stables, Illinois.

The Wisconsin Morgan Charity Classic Show was a fun show for us. It is put on by the Wisconsin Morgan Horse Club.

We had 5 girls represent Domino Stables.

Cosmos Vigilante being shared by Abby Hinze in Western Classes and Leslie Allport riding in the Hunter Classes

Mikayla Bennett riding her own horse, Cosmos Montana

Lorilie Drinkwater riding Caumís Beam Mystique in the Academy Classes

Airi Rich with Cosmos Arbor Mist

Susie Weiss with Cosmos Technicolor

All the girls did very well in their respective classes. With the combined showing of Airi and Susie, Cosmos Arbor Mist ended up with the Justin Morgan Standard Award, Grand Champion Open Horse at Halter, Grand Champion Morgan at Halter, and Airi was High Point Junior Exhibitor.

We all went to the Three Gait Open Show in July. We were all pleasantly surprised to find out after the show that Abby Hinze riding Cosmos Vigilante, ended up with Reserve Champion High Point Tiny Tot.

We have one show left in September and then we start preparing for next yearís shows.
